NOTD - No7 Milan

I recently brought this nail polish from No7 at Boots. As I had a voucher for £5 off any No7 purchase, I only paid £2 for 'Milan' polish. My nails need a good filing but I was impressed with the outcome. I used my french tip set for a base coat and tip guides. It's such a lovely, pink and sparkly colour. Very pigmented and the brush gives an easy sweeping motion on the nail. I will definitely be purchasing more No7 nail polishes in the future.

Beauty uk French Manicure Update

I re-did my nails from last night. I didn't start over as I have no tip guides left. They look much better!!

I fixed my dodgy thumb without starting again to! Very pleased with how they've turned out now. Practice makes perfect.

Beauty uk French Manicure

Huge warning: I took these straight after I had finished the DIY manicure, so excuse all the white polish on my skin. I thought I better do it quick as I tend to be very impatient when waiting for my nails to dry.

A few months ago I brought the Beauty uk French Manicure set, it was only £2.99 and I thought for a first try at it was a good price.

I used three coats of the base cost, two of the white tip and one coat of the top coat. For a first try I'm pretty impressed. Even though I got the white everywhere on the skin next to my nail.

My thumb went a bit tacky but the rest have turned ok, I defiantly need more practice with doing it and grow more confident doing it myself. Just need to buy more strips now! This set only comes with 10 which is a bit rubbish.

Anybody else tried this or another brands french manicure set?

MUA Quake Nail Polish

If you saw my Haul post last week you'll see I brought MUA Quake nail polish. I may bit a late to jump on the crackle polish band wagon, but I wanted to try it for myself and see what it was all about. I purchased this from Superdrug and was retailed at £2.99.

This was the effect I got with the MUA crackle and I was very pleased with the results. And this was only from one coat. It lasted a while too and I defiantly recommend it.

W7 Nail Polish (20 Barbie Pink) - £2.50 Peacocks
MUA Nail Quake (Black) - £2.99 Superdrug

And here's another look I got using a different base coat. This is with two coats...

Colour Trend Color Me Pretty Nail Enamel (Minimalist Peach) - £2.00 Avon
MUA Nail Quake (Black) - £2.99 Superdrug

Any of you tried the MUA Nail Quake? Or have a favourite crackle nail polish?
